Boy Scout Troop 007
Lewiston, Maine

You may have heard by now that the Pine Tree Council is evaluating a proposal to sell Camp Gustin in Sabattus. Apparently they need the money, but no matter the reason, selling any of the camps now or in the future is just a bad idea. Selling this camp will not resolve their unbalanced budget next year or the year after - then what? Nutter? Bomazeen? Hinds??
Some initiatives are being undertaken to demonstrate to the Council leadership that selling camps is unacceptable. If you agree, write or email the Scout Executive. Join the facebook group:
Have scouts in your troop, in their own words, tell the Scout Executive why this is a bad idea. The wheels on this thing are turning, so don't wait to let your voice be heard.
